The Other Side of Abuse
Maybe or maybe not human beings were created to use only their good side, the side that articulates love, care, patience, tolerance and understanding, and on the other hand we were granted the opposite trait which every one believes emanates from the bad one, thereby creating the ideology of good and bad in man.
Abuse, has its many triggers as well as consequences, neither of which is good. It stems from a fast speeding circle of less use of conscience, psychological problems, the attack, the victims silence and then his or her outburst, finally speaking out, reprisal of the abuser or years of mind damaging predicaments on the part of the victim.
Abuse happens everyday, every time and as frequent as we can never imagine, because the trend has been made common and accepted as the norm.
The world has become a wild forest where the weak or less fortunate is preyed upon, where having a good conscience is looked upon as being weak or timid. Where a person pokes you in the eye, and expects you to start a brawl and failure to start one make such a person seem like a shameless weakling.
Nowadays it’s almost alien for someone to be quite and humble. This was a good trait before, but now, it seems like a flaw.
Abuse, ranging from sexual, emotional, mental and physical, is not in anyway appropriate. We as humans find it difficult to walk, we are always open to emotional outbursts from others that we always want to retaliate, everyone wants to bare their fangs and the scary truth is, no one becomes the same after these encounters.
Most abusers were once victims themselves if properly checked, they weren’t discovered early enough to put a plug to the deteriorating nature of their mindset caused by the actions of their abusers, and before you know it! They grow up to be whom their abusers were or worse!
Abuse is not right in whatever situation, nobody is too weak, alot of people just do not fancy drama especially one that involves hurling insulting words at each other or exchanging blows. So instead they just ignore, if only we would all learn to be like that.
Alot of people might say that in a country with many perpetrators of evil waiting for an unsuspecting target one must be strong mentally and physically.
It is sad to say the world has gradually shifted from an evolved society to a rash and violent one where only ones fists and tongue lashing speaks for them
